Take an entertaining and educational romp along 5 acres of home-made winding trails strewn with whimsical objects and comedic moments while learning how to turn your woods and meadows into engaging mini-hikes. See examples of wood-pile habitats, composting design and animal deterrents, trail design based on minimum environmental impact (and neighborly impact), wood planks as bridges over a bubbling brook, soft mosses that “carpet” the forest floor…and more!

Following the hike, participants will be encouraged to strike out on their own with a detailed map and a challenging list of objects to locate. All without leaving the trails! Find a minimum number and win a small prize!

Finish the event by enjoying some delicious baked goods supplied by Land Trust Members while enjoying the warmth of an open fire pit.

For Most ages and Able-Bodied - not recommended for children under 5.  Trails have narrow plank river crossings and
uneven terrain.

Located on a single lane dirt road. Parking instructions will be sent via email and/or attendants will assist at the event.
Depending on number of cars there may be a 5 minute walk from Bogel Road for some participants.
[As per any tromp thru the woods wear appropriate footwear and tick deterrent]
